We trekked out to somerset west for this game. This is the first time we’ve met this team so we’re not sure how it would go. There were no goals in the first half. We had some good attempts at running down the line and Centre but could just not score. Nikki and Vasti played nicely at center link and centre forward.
The second half got tougher with somerset west scoring the only goal of the day straight after the whistle. We spent a lot of time in our half with quite a few shorties but just not scoring. Both Annie and Lana had done good runs into the circle. Our defence held them back nicely. Our game got better with some great passing out and down the line and we kept the ball for most of the half. Disappointing to not score as this was one we would loved to have won. The game was tough but the team had some excellent ball play. Nikki was our “man of the match” with her great skills and time on the ball.
